After getting off the ferry we searched for a rest stop nearby. First time washing up in a truck stop bathroom, forgot a towel so had to try and maneuver drying my face off with the air dryer. Yeahh... just thank god no one walked in. First night sleeping in the big booty mama. We cut out foam mats to fit the windows and folded a blanket over the front seats to ...

87 degree temps does not encourage fall colors! However, a stop at Ben @ Jerry's eased the warm day. Crossed from VT to NY via Lake Champlain ferry ($23). Our drive took us through Pottersville, NY whose claim to fame apparently is the fact that the National Christmas Tree came from there in 1964!

It seems that we were enjoying the scenery and the drive so very much that we missed our turnoff to The Adirondack General Store. Well, suffice it to ...

Burlington is the biggest city in one of the smallest states. I have never before been to Burlington but considered it high on my list of places to visit because of its reputation as a pleasant college town with a high "livability" index. After spending the day in Shelburne went into Burlington for the evening for dinner and a few beers at a brewpub and strolled around. I really ...
