A Sick Day

A travel blog entry by ddmac54 on Sep 12, 2015

... it was pouring rain. How appropriate! I also had heartburn from the Cepacol lozenges. Believe me, I felt and looked a horrible mess. Back to bed.

In the morning Michael said I was confined to bed and he was going to make a pot of soup for me, if I could tell him how. hahaha No way was I going to stay in bed with no source of entertainment. I am now on one of the couches, moaning and generally feeling sorry for myself and wondering how I can blame all of ...

... side." "Dogs are not very good at spelling or letter-writing." Said Barney, "I much prefer franking envelopes." Barney suddenly felt he'd spent enough time at the post office. "Shall we go?" "But I thought you had business to attend to?" Miss Josephine asked. "Oh yes," said Barney, "I almost forgot." It was a nice surprise and I was so glad that I keep the place pretty neat, having stacked the dishwasher and made ...

Marwood is a private 20 acre garden with three tiny lakes, created by Dr. James Smart. There is a statue of him in the garden, which I will show you. The garden is now maintained by his nephew, ...

Port Isaac aka Port Wenn

A travel blog entry by ddmac54 on Sep 09, 2015

Michael still has the last remnants of his cold and, aside from being tired, I'm feeling better. I'm sure the combination of my chicken noodle soup and going to bed at 9:00 p.m. really helped.

I made my usual porridge with blueberries and nuts for breakfast, set up a load of towels in the washer, loaded the dishwasher, made some chicken sandwiches and we set off on our way to Port Isaac.
