At Sari's we meet her husband Baggi and

quickly warm up and we practice saying the alphabet and numbers in
English and Indonesian (Randy is a natural teacher—check out the

Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia stubo... wet. Somehow though, the 5-minute trek while it's pouring rain, even though I was sort of running, seemed much longer than 5 minutes now. It's like how waiting one minute for the toilet when you desperately need to go feels like an eternity. The rain completely drenched us! I could actually wring out water from my pants and shirt by the time I got home. I had somehow forgotten, but as we arrived home there was another surprise waiting for us... our new roommate had ...
Ubud, Bali, Indonesia snclark8... with the aircraft staff. I thought it best to go down there and in front of the captain and assembled others go through the finer points of the days failings of their staff. It did the trick because they got off their bums and came and started talking to people and telling them what was going to happen. About 5 passengers were asking questions and videoing the the whole proceeding. There was bad karma man! Eventually we got the flight. Air Asia hang your head in shame.
Kuta, Bali, Indonesia frankoc... and that she is a very good friend of our dear Jacko who used to work with us in the office. Basically, I hated Kuta. I stayed there two days because I have always heard so much about it that I wanted to give it a second chance to find out what it is that people love so much about Kuta beach in Bali ? Well I have not found out. The beach, along the road, is very busy, the waves are only ok for beginners, there are Mcdonalds, KFC, Starbucks and Boots at every ...
Bali, Indonesia njarraud... first. It was me. I shut the door and went downstairs to pee. A few nights later I was sleeping out on the upstairs deck. For Katharine and me, and briefly for Jack, the sleeping porch was one of the best features of our suite. The sleeping porch was a nice large deck, looking out over the pool and open to the air, complete with ceiling fan, reading lamp and table. On the porch was a day bed with a mosquito net, nicely furnished with pillow, sheets ...
Ubud, Bali, Indonesia oneyearaway... you have a seat.
We landed in Bali, Kuta late at night, and of course true to our Eastern fellows, we were heavily ripped off for a 3 - 5 minute taxi ride to the hotel. Needless to say, we made it to the hotel, and I went straight to bed.
Woke up the next morning and went for a jog on the beach, it was amazing: other tourists jogging, locals fishing and ...
... it cost us 10 dollars for the room each. not too bad and its a really nice place. We met three Canadians and chilled with them at the pool. That night after going for dinner the wether took a turn for the worse. We ended up staying in and renting a dvd player and just chilling. Next day we spent most of at the swimming pool. There was a couple of more people around the pool and it was quite a hot day. We ...
