Today we took a tour of Lincoln's house. Most of the furniture was original. I do not have a picture of the house on the I-pad so I can show it. It is a two story home now but when Lincoln bought it was 1 story. In the 17 years they owned a second story was added and a room in the back. From there we went to Lincoln's tomb. A huge quantity, very creamily and softly mashed ("Grandma" Marie's special method using the hand mixer) - they were perfect, as was the whole meal. Another novelty noticed here in America is that often green beans are served in a mushroom soup mix. Another nice & different taste. I don't think I have seen green peas served anywhere here, just green beans. I have ...

... the family were out-of-towners. My sis Jan (Andy's godmother) and her husband flew in from Simi Valley, California. Uncle Don, Andy's godfather drove up from Ocala, Florida. Andy's Aunts and Uncles and cousins drove up from Chicago. Most of the family made it, sorry everyone couldn't be there.

We couldn't of asked for a more beautiful day. The weather was perfect and everything went as planned with no problems.
