    Cheap stay for the area

The hostel is simple but clean. Rooms are spacious and have a very good hot shower. The airco is silent and effective. There is also a little restaurant that is sometimes open and there is a pizza place across the street.

The area is perfect if you want to do some shopping in BKK because it is across the street from the MBK and next to the Skytrain

Even though this was a slightly uncomfortable experience due to the Thai locals looking and laughing, it was refreshing and different and enforced my need for cultural variety. Afterwards, I headed back to the hotel, anticipating the troublesome twosome's arrival. I can't express how excited I was to see them waiting outside the hotel. Both Megan and I ran towards each other and hugged like there was no tomorrow! ...

... lost every day, which was not such a bad thing as we kept finding new and interestng places. On one occasion, however, it all became too much. After walking round Bankok centre sightseeng for 6 hours and following local dections for further 2, we were both a big, hot, sweaty, grumpy mess and furtermore completely lost. We must have looked very desperate as a nice friendly Thai guy took pity on us and gave us both a lift on a back of his tiny moped, the ...
