We went on a tour of a sugar mill which was very interesting, having seen all the sugar cane plantations it was fantastic to see the process to obtain the juice and the final product of raw sugar, nothing is wasted with sugar cane crops, even the ash and the molasses mud is combined and sold back to the farmers to put back into the soil as nutrients and also molasses is given to stock, the molasses is also sold to the Bundaberg distillery to make ...
