Boracay Bar Crawl
... plenty of bars and most have enough people around for them not to be dead but it's not particularly rawkus, there aren't groups of young people around or anything. This is perhaps a good thing though, even though it offers a lot of what many other resorts do it has yet to degenerate into a Phi Phi or Phuket style atmosphere. Hopefully it never will. Back in paradise
... as hungry as me!!
So. the journey? Well, rowing boat 20p, tricycle 100p, A/C bus 210p, and 4 hours later we are in Bacolod.
From there, tricycle 200p to boat terminal, boat 520p, bus 692p 5 hours later we are in Caticlan.
Boat 300p, tricycle 100p, and we are back in Forest Hills, exactly where we were staying in Boracay!
Its been a good laugh all day, a bit tiring 14 hours altogether, but good to be back somewhere we like.

Feeding the fishies
... so one had to be careful not to come up and wack one's head on the bamboo supports on either side of the boat. But when one is so excited over fish and coral, one doesn't consider these things and one bumps one's head too many times to name.
The coral below was fantastic. It was fascinating watch the flowery looking plants breathe.

Being "tourists" in Boracay and Manila

The terminal is new, and seems to work OK. This time we weigh in under the 30 kilos, but our hand luggage is just weighed on our bodies. Airport tax is only 20P, very reasonable. We leave on time in a plane less than half full, and get good views over Boracay and the string of islands to the north. At one stage we do a right angle turn across one of the islands, but aren't returning to Caticlan. Closer to Manila we get mountain views, coastal views ...
Day from Hell
... a huge issue with the plane.
Chris and I got a coffee at the Dunkin' Donuts and when I went to sit down I slopped all over. Because the worker bee has now left I stop in at the cafe next to it for some napkins to do a clean-up.
