Sad to leave beautiful Kas with it's lovely warm weather and the lovely staff at the hotel and the rooftop terrace overlooking the water. Most hotels in Turkey give you a wonderful buffet breakfast with cereals, cold meats, cheeses and salads and hot eggs and other foods too.

At this hotel we had a dinner of a vegetarian buffet with bbq chicken, fish or meat, and a soup and dessert for a really reasonable price of A$12.

Today we left after a very poor breakfast – this hotel was the least impressive so far! Except for the great hot spa! We drove south to a town called Aphrodisia – what another great surprise this place was. It is the only site that has only been discovered by Turkish excavators. Once again it was amazing to wonder through many ruins mainly in honour of the god Aprodsia – Goddess of Love. ...

We had a nice dinner and Ben, myself and two of the guys Spider and Steve headed into town to check out the night life.....there wasn't any! It was a Monday night and most places were closed. We ended up at a bar called The Fez where we played pool whilst being 'meowed' at by the resident bar cat.

Whilst in Oludeniz we decided we would continue our travels for a couple of days with the ...

... topics like pop-culture, world travel, and the life of a young Turk. It should come as no surprise that young Mali likes to hit the clubs and discos after work, dance, meet young women ("American my favorite," he says to Jen), and listen to the latest releases of Lady Gaga and Beyonce. Jen promised him a CD of good electronics dance tracks, and after a few beers and some nighttime pictures of the harbor lights, we wandered downstairs to our room for some ...

Today we made our way from Olympos to Oludeniz. Basically another driving day but great views along the coast. We stopped at Kas for lunch which seemed to be a rather affluent seaside town and watched the paragliders soaring over the town and water. They would land on the harbour strip so were very close as they came zooming in. We do have an option of going paragliding at Oludeniz but again I think it may be too expensive to do and I'm sure we will have plenty ...
