... the sun might reappear and it did. At that point there were maybe 5 people left at the peak. It wasn't the most amazing sunset I've ever seen but the location was pretty fantastic and it was nice to have fewer people there. We agreed to meet up again for sunrise at a place only a few minutes from the hostel. It was the same huge crowd and once again the clouds didn't help. Dinner was at Mr.Hu’s restaurant, a local of Tongkou who is highly regarded by the ‘Trip Advisor’ community (my bible for this trip) for ...

... was a part of the mountain we really wanted to see - a place called Fairy Bridge. We had a map which had the distance from where we were - just a cool 5kms. What the map lacks though is the type of terrain and number of stairs/hills one must climb to reach it. Let's just say that after an exhausting 3.5 hour walk, we arrived! It must have been the quietest place in China. No loud chinese tourists around, no spitting, no loud noise and clean fresh air. It ...
