You do need a good conditions and it's not great for the knees either.
Well the rain stopped after a while and most of the way was covered in thick fog and the high humidity prevented the sweat from evaporating. This means that you sweat like a you-know-what and arrive on top completely drenched!

... the gondola ride down had a pleasant Google/Baidu translated conversation with one of the other passengers using our iPhones. At the bottom, took the bus to Tangkou and a shuttle to the Huangshan Railway Station. By the time I got there, no more sleeper tickets were available so I thought I would have to ride in a "hard seat" again but luckily this particular train had a couple "soft seat" cars. These had individual seats rather than benches and the seats reclined. No standing room ...

... That was a lot of fun and it sure beat having to walk down to the exit.


Next we stopped off at a ‘Tea Shop - Tea of Zhikeng’ to sample some regional tea. My favourite was one which started off bitter, then became very sweet in the mouth. That was very unusual.
