We were at the airport at Nanning for our early morning flight (0750) back to Shanghai. Everything went smoothly until I went through security, I must have a sign on my forehead saying pick me! I was patted down by a Chinese security lady (she was quite nice too) and had to empty stuff out of my back pack. Soon enough I was permitted to ...

Late this afternoon we are going to King Songs place for dinner. Should be good, a couple of beers and some nz wine. Song took us down too his home theatre to watch a move and have some beers ...

We left there to head back to the city at about 1730 which is a 2 1/2 hour drive and a distance of 96 km. We have just gone over a bridge with a 20 ...

Didn't do much today, we got picked up by one of Jen's cousins and went to the Nanning Zoo. Well what a disappointment, the big cats were in small in closures rill of mud and no green rass at all, it was discussing. The ones that were not in there they were in concrete cages and nothing like their environment. All in all it was a great disappointment that the would treat these animals like this. In the evening we went for a walk and did a bit of ...

... the street to sleep in. The woman had to have my passport. Oh no. I forgot. I hastily traipsed around looking for a copy shop. Finally I found one and the man printed a copy of my passport that I had in my email. (For about 5 cents) and I went back to the hotels, hoping one of them would accept it.

The original lady was happy with this document, thank god, and I got me a banh mi sandwich for dinner and passed out at 7 p.m.
