Day 58: Terrific Tokyo

... was then caught by a sign for the zoo and our plan quickly changed, the museum was put on the back burner for a couple of days and we headed into the zoo in search of the giant pandas! The zoo was pretty good and we enjoyed seeing some native bears, pandas, elephants, giraffes, rhinos and other animals.

All in all an enjoyable day. Tomorrow we're planning on visiting Disneyland Tokyo so that should be fun!

... way home and after a big feed headed home. Once again after showers and some down time we all crashed. After a big discussion we all agreed our day at Disneyland was slightly better. Whether it was because it was our first park or whether it was because we weren't as tired but I think it was because we got to do a lot more family rides! ... bar was independent, we bought all sorts from sushi to BBQ chicken. It was all pretty cheap too since they were ready to close and had discounted everything. We had a look around the wine shop too and managed to blag some samples :) we took the food back to the hotel. The sushi was brilliant! Day 4 We had read about Tokyo's national gardens which were supposedly world class. We decided to give them a visit. They took a bit of finding but were worth the effort. ...

... here, with cafes and shops. In the evening a few people from the hostel headed to Shibuya to an all you can drink bar. We set a heavy pace with whiskey on the rocks, but had to bail by 11ish to get the last train back. The place wasn't tourist friendly though with everything in Japanese, but Kyle, the guy who suggested it can speak the language so we did okay. At the hostel the bar was pretty quiet so it wasn't a massively late ...
