... assume most people back home don't dress this well. Right now I am in the middle of a park right next to Hibiya Station. It's dark but they have nice fountains and good skyline. A mini Central Park if I had to compare. Meeting up with Matt at 7 for dinner and then back to the hotel to relax. On another note, we have barely seen any kids here. Where are they? I've been out at all times of the day and nothing. Really weird.

We made it in time to hear the taiko drums which mark the start of the day, tour the grounds a little, make our presence know to the gods. ... backed we passed by a few more temples and shrines and a huge Buddha statue. We then took a bus to the Nijo Castle. The castle was very different from the European castles. It was a large square with one room lined up after another. The inner walls and ceilings were all painted with traditional Japanese style scenery (cherry blossom trees, birds, and a few tigers). ... and emptied out the noodles and used the polystyrene bowls which the noodles came in :) after breakfast we took the metro to a old Shinto shrine called the Meji Shrine. We had to cross the famous Shibuya Crossing on route. Photos of people walking across the crossing with the stores in the background are usually how tokyo is promoted. ... and taking a peek out of each of the windows we walked down to the 4th floor, which has a few displays and a gift shop. You catch the elevator down on the 4th floor and are let out on the 3rd floor, which has over 3,000 gold Buddha statues.
