... and going what seems pretty nuts for a Japanese crowd. There was an old man in front of me who was chugging beer like it was going out of fashion and shouting at pretty much every wrestler, then there were the hordes of schoolgirls up in the nosebleed section chanting all manner of stuff - it was a very raucous evening :)

All in all it was very interesting to watch a full day's sumo even without understanding a single thing said by any announcer for the entire day ...

... bar was independent, we bought all sorts from sushi to BBQ chicken. It was all pretty cheap too since they were ready to close and had discounted everything. We had a look around the wine shop too and managed to blag some samples :) we took the food back to the hotel. The sushi was brilliant! Day 4 We had read about Tokyo's national gardens which were supposedly world class. We decided to give them a visit. They took a bit of finding but were worth the effort. ...

... ol' buttermilk with blueberries and lemon curd which came recommended and sounded like a winning combo. My first attempts were a bit dodgy but they improved and frankly they tasted do good who cares what they look like! ... the Philippines, who experienced a typhoon, and now an earthquake and tsunami. Many of our patients were indigenous people that talked about living in the mountains, so I can imagine the mudslides. Apparently, this is not really the time of year for a typhoon, so people were off guard.
