This week the 5th grade wrote their own songs. And yet again, I had some interesting ones done by the students. Such as:
*There's an eye on an ant on a fly on a cat on a tiger on a bear on an elephant on a whale in a house in the ship of the sea.
*There's a fly on a book on a bag on a table on a child on a chair on the floor in the home ...
... kindergarten classes which I have to say it is extremely difficult to keep 4 year olds for an hour and half. But I am getting really good with the primary after school job, Mr Xu, where I taught the 4th graders the story of the gingerbread man work on a worksheet. I do like being able to give the kids worksheets instead of having to talk the full hour and half.
... you should look up the YouTube video because people get really good at saying it at ridiculous speeds. And the kids were amazed by it. I learned it just to be able to amaze them with it and can say that by the end of the week some kids timed me at 3 seconds for the whole thing. 5th grade is going to get to try it next week since this week they had hangman to review the words from the sword and the stone.
Overall a pretty fun week though.

And 5th grade continued their movie, which they really do love cause if I stop it for a minute I get complete dead silence from them and horrified faces thinking that I won't turn it back on. It's good to have the power :) ...
... obsessed with making these bracelets out of little colorful rubber bands and I always have to tell them to put it away during class. So of course, now I have my own.
Katherine showed me how to make some Chinese food on Saturday. It was a pork slow simmered with soy sauce and a few others and completely delicious. And I kept track of the directions so hopefully I can make it when I get back home. ...
