    ... The snack arrived along with a couple of fellow guests. They had also recently arrived in the town and one of them quickly struck up a conversation with us. The two young Dutch girls, Madhavi and Alex, seemed keen for some companionship and as we shared the desire we ended up spending the rest of the day together.     We are in paradise, or at least it feels like it:) We have now arrived Kerala and spent the last couple of days in Kovalum.

    Since I wrote last we spent another couple of days at Kuldips, our friends dad, farm outside of Chandigarh.     ... description than I had anticipated - and was therefore pretty stodgy; and Mrs C had an excellent paneer tikka masala curry - with chunky chips!). Tepig enjoyed some of Mrs C's cocktail - and I stuck to the mint tea, happy that my tummy was now fully better and I had a considerable appetite. My appetite was made stronger by the fact that Abba stocks HP Sauce - the first time I have seen it in a restaurant in India! - so I was very pleased.

    ... the climb as the views were amazing. Even though it was starting to rain a little, but this soon passed. We got some lovely photos and it was nice as it was just shutting we were the only people up there. On the way back down we noticed the amazing sunset coming through the trees and sat for some lovely photos and watched it go down. We were still in the grounds of the lighthouse and as we took so long when we got to the enterance it was all locked up. Oops. ...

    ... find this bus, our gratitude for air conditioning surpassed last night on the train when we stepped onto this bus. It was heaven! Kovalam is a seaside area a bit further south of Trivandrum. The sea breeze does nothing to calm the hot and muggy air. We had showers and were immediately sweaty again, so accepted that it is going to be this way in Kerala and went out for dinner. The beach here is small, with a tall red and white lighthouse at one end. It is a real tourist spot and far ...
