... the life affirming truths which seem to find me in this place? There’s no way to tell, no way of saying for sure I’ll have all I need to live a life I feel at home in. All I know is, if I’m able to hold to this emotional state; if I can retain this sense of purpose, connection, unity, and understanding...

I’ve got a lot to look forward to.

We boarded a bus as soon as we got out of the auto rickshaw, and eventually, down the road, we got seats. The ride was 3 1/2 hours long, but this time we ran parallel to the coast and had some great views of the Arabian Sea and more of its nearly empty beaches! ... to go on them but then we had visions of the newspaper headlines. "Two Australian tourists killed on out of control Carnival ride". They also had some bizarre things like an ice and snow show, a 3D film in a cargo container, performing dogs (the dogs didn’t look so good) and this huge funnel shaped thing which looked like one of those motorbike ring of death things. It was fun to watch the Indians going on the ride, eating fairy floss and having a bit of fun.

Back after dinner. It was average. The waiter seemed determined to not give me a proper cup of tea. The first one was close, but with a whole cup of sweetened milk, despite my clear instructions. The second one was back to front, almost like a tea latte, nearly all milk with a bit of tea at the top. I gave up. They also brought Steve chicken biriyani when he asked for veg. They didn't get a tip.
