... high rises to be seen, everything has been kept in its original form. We found this gorgeous little bakery and bought a couple of baby baguettes, took them back to Fifi for lunch. I have never eaten such yummy bread, the French certainly make great bread, it is so light and crunchy, yummy. I have to say I was smitten with St Topez, it is elegant and understated and the locals have managed to keep the Old World Charm of bygone days, simply ...

Firstly happy happy birthday to our gorgeous nephew, Jesse, hope it was awesome. Secondly we hope everyone has survived safely through cyclone Marcia, we have been thinking of you all. Today we decided to head into Cannes and see what all the hype is about. Firstly we started our day in the usual fashion, cuppa and a laze in the gorgeous sunshine. Soaking it all in. Around 11ish we headed to the bus stop for our ride into Cannes. Weird buses here, ...

I am pleased to report this area is very flat - I think thats why I liked it so much! The weather was stilll very hit & miss so from Port Grimaud we drove around the coast to Frejus (only a short drive) and took a 4 night booking early. We had pre booked much our trip but we managed to juggle a few of our bookings around and arrive earlier at some to give us a bit of flexibility should we need it further down the line.

... Cannes for the day. We were all absolutely exhausted and very hot with sore feet from a long day.

I've been spending a lot of free time down at the beach which is very relaxing. The Mediterranean Sea is so peaceful and I'm so thankful to be spending the last half of my summer here. But I am definitely missing my family, as well as Austin and Teddy and my sistas!!

... we wandered around some more, saw the old harbor fortifications and then headed back to the bus. We needed our rest, because Monday we took our placement test for our French classes. Oh my.

So this morning I woke up at 7:00… OK I know that’s not believable. That’s when my alarm went off. I got up around 7:20. Had to get ready, eat a good breakfast and walk all the way to the campus by 9:00 for our French test. ...
