We were in for more than we realised today, experiencing Gondolas and chairlifts that we never would have dreamed about. The Whistler area is used for mountain bike riders in Summer so the place was teeming with bikers and skiers. Our first Gondola took us up Whistler Mountain and to the Winter Olympic sight. This was a 35 minute ride, so you can …

Our first stop on our way to Whistler was Shannon Falls, a very picturesque place, where the water falls over a series of cliffs, 335 metres above the highway. About this downhill biking thing. As far as we can see, this is what happens. Fully covered in protective gear including elbow pads, wrist guards, padded gloves, elbow guards, shin guards, neck brace and full face helmet, you nonchalantly throw your bike onto the converted ...

... worst I'd ever experienced. The plane was bouncing around and we all know how much I hate flying! So much turbulence due to a storm off the coast of Brisbane. I managed to take my nausea tablets about an hour before we landed as the stale air was making me ill. Luckily enough too because not long after that, the plane was bouncing around. Worst I've ever experienced. So we got to about 15minutes before landing and I was just staying calm with my music blaring, my eyes closed and my arms ...
