... outside to the fireplace. We rounded out the first night of celebrations with a coffee at Starbucks on the way home. We thought we were in for a quiet end to the night. Unfortunately it was Johnny Cash karaoke night at The Fairmont and A Boy Named Sue seemed to be on an endless loop! And then it was time to do it all again for the Canadian birthday. ... went a couple of carriages down for champagne and canapés. After that we went upstairs in the dome carriage but of course couldn't see anything in the dark. Went to the activities carriage and played Tantra with Norm for awhile.

When returned to our carriage, the bunk beds had been put down and the chairs stowed underneath them. Matt slept up top.

... seem logical. So I hung out on Waikiki, had some food and a massive shaved ice (my favourite!!) and got to watch crazy brown ripped guys shred around on their boards. Wasn't a terrible afternoon. I walked up along the beach, along the shops and saw so many fun things! Turns out the homeless people of Waikiki have parrots and get cash by having tourists take photos with the birds. ... Livia was slowly but surely sinking in hers. The Scandinavian Spa was incredible!! So relaxing! It was on Livia's bucket list before she went back to Switzerland. So we went on locals day with her friend Livia (also from Switzerland). We bought the spa baths pass which gave us access to any of the hot baths/ rooms, cold dips and the resting places. ... a real tourist hub but mainly home to so many Aussies you felt as if you were home. We were reading a guide book on whistler and one of the top asked questions was "why do people in whistler have Australian accents?" The answer being that it's the highest concentration of Aussies outside of Oz! Falling in love with the place after a ski season and then taking up residence.
