St Patrick's Day in Wellington, although we docked last night we couldn't get off as security etc wasn't in place until 7.30am. Once cleared we got one of the many shuttles into town, a 10 minute ride away. We can see as soon as we get off the ship why Wellington is called Windy Wellington, evidently second windiest after Chicago, the wind is still 37knots and it is only 13c. ... the weekend. As such, we stayed in Rotorua for an extra night, and called his "NZ birthday" a bust and spent 7 hours on the bus instead. His "Canadian birthday" the next day was much improved as we did a short hike to a beautiful lookout and explored an amazing museum called Te Papa. ... at like a roadside burger place but completely the opposite of what you'd imagine it to be like. In a nice little garden areas with picnic benches and we all had chosen our burgers the night before and they were huge. I mean massive! It took us about half an hour to get through them. Once back we threw around the frisbee for a while, Alex showing off his skills and then played a few games of werewolf before bed. Moving on to Punakaiki tomorrow to see some seals :) the journey awaits ...
