Westwood On Wilshire Los Angeles

This is a cool, well-appointed charming Kimpton property. Clean and very comfortable. But both the man at front desk and young woman that I made a reservation with over the phone (through hotel's website) were snooty and seemed put out. I didn't ask for anything unusual. Was disappointed by their tone and attitude- unexpected treatment by a fine hotel. Would not stay at this place again because of it- especially for the price being paid.

I just got back from a 2 night stay at the new Hotel Palomar Westwood. What a place. A good way to describe it would be an "upscale W". I've never dealt with a friendlier staff than at the Palomar. Every single person I encountered there was great. The rooms, furnishings, bathroom, etc, were all funky-modern-comfortable-perfect. I've never given a hotel an excellent/5 star rating, but they really deserve this.

I reserved a spa room, but was upgrated to a 1br spa suite (rm 1801) , which had a seperate living room. The bathroom jacuzzi/spa tub and HUGE glass enclosed shower were incredible. I didnt have a "vista view" room, but being on the 18th floor, I still had a great view of the Hollywood Hills. I didnt want to get out of the bed, it was too comfortable. I would have dragged it out of there into the car if I could have.

I did get room service one night and the food was great. Like I said, I really can't find a fault with this place.

I would def reccomend staying here if your in LA and want to be treated right.

My company booked me at the Palomar. It just opened so I was a little reluctant to be one of the first guests. I loved it. the staff were smart, fun and made me feel like a family member. I think this is going to be one of LA'S best hotels. The fitness center was the awesome. I have told my company and peers at work to stay there. Great hotel and a good value.

I don't usually do these reviews, but this hotel is an exception. This is by far my favorite hotel in LA. My best friend (I can't stay w/ her I'm allergic to her 2 cats) lives in Westwood and whenever I visit I usually stay at other hotels w/in the area, but she heard that this one just opened, so I gave it a shot and let me tell you it's amazing! Beautiful style w/ a relaxing feel. The staff is great! I have no complaints, if you are planning to stay at a hotel in LA, I strongly suggest checking this one out!

I can't even express how happy I was when I found out that Kimpton was opening up a Palomar in Los Angeles! I have stayed in many Kimptons across the country and Palomars are by far my favorite brand. It was no surprise to me that this brand new hotel Palomar exceeded all of my expectations. Everyone was so warm and friendly, every time I had an encounter with a staff member they were always smiling and providing assistance.

There are a number of great hotels in LA, but i prefer to stay at one that is eco friendly and actively takes steps to help the environment.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful and the beds were amazing! I didn't have a chance to eat in the restaurant, but I'm looking forward to stopping by on my next visit (and there will be a next visit!)

The hotel Palomar is a sheik, and sexy but not a place that I feel uncomfortable because it's "too cool" for me! I can't wait to come back!

My wife and I chose the Palomar as we are familiar with Kimpton Hotels. It certainly held up the reputation. The staff was outstanding. They greeted us with a smile and gave us their undivided attention, whether it was the Doorman or the Housekeeper! The hotel is located near everything you could ever want. The Concierge and Front Desk staff are well versed on the area and made it easy for us to get around. They even shuttled us around in the company car. Note that the hotel is eco-conscious so they have a high-end HYBRID vehicle.

Our room was spacious and of course spotless. They are fairly new (opened this month). From what I've observed, the staff takes great pride and look after the hotel as if it's their own home. If I had as nice of furnishings as they do, I guess I would do the same. It is a pretty hip yet sophisticated hotel that has an amazing sense of style. We stayed in a vista room. They have a beautiful view of the LA basin and you can see the ocean on a clear "LA" day.

The hotel's restaurant was cool with excellent food. Of course before dinning there, make sure you visit the wine party that is held every night, complimentary to guests of course! It really set the mood for a LA outing. VIP treatment!

My office is right up the street. What a great addition to the neighborhood after having to endure the W Hotel for so many years. The hotel is very sophisticated and classy. The staff makes you feel so welcome. It is so great to have a Kimpton Hotel in LA. The hotel has an amazing design and fitness center.Great Hotel. I am woried to many people will find out about it and I will not be able to secure a room. I did meet the GM at the wine hour, very hospitable as everyone else. Great hotel, great service, great price and the beds!!!!!!!

I just stayed at this hotel in Westwood area on Wilshire called Palomar that just opened up. I had to go to UCLA and it's really close. The place is beautiful and everyone was so friendly. I loved my room b/c it was high up and had great city views. Beds were amazing! Very cool decor but not so much that you don't fit in. The restaurant wasn't open yet but I looked at the menu and got to see the space which is also very urban. They have free wine for people in the lobby at night...please who doesn't love free wine! I've told my friends about this place and will certainly return!
