Not sure how it compares with Scenic Railway at Katoomba but similar in concept. It is powered by water though and so simple, with water being released by the bottom car until the top one is heavier and so just goes downhill, pulling the other one up. Great views on the way. ... at times gently, and at others aggressively. Saw our first squirrel. Have been surprised at the lack of wildlife having seen none at all in Ireland apart from a few deer at Killarney by the lake. Walk passes through lovely woodland on the uphill side, then goes steeply down to the river and passes the White Lady Waterfall. This fall is a narrow fall that drops 30m down a narrow tributary to the main river. Then the path follows along the valley floor to the Tunnel Falls. Here ...

Gareth has now set sail from Plymouth at approximately 4pm. All feeling a little bit nervous today as the reality hits. Managed just about to get all of our stuff in the car. Fully loaded but we did it. Tomorrow is the beginning of a new era , very very excited. Enjoyed a full on day with the boys and Granny in ...
