Dispatches from Belize.... Hello again! I really don't know what to write,
because there is so much going on. Perhaps, I will start with our typical day,
however, there is no such thing as a typical day here. The days are always
different, it depends on which way the wind blows and if the rains
come....literally. We are usually awakened by the sounds of birds chirping and

... appears to be a place where folks that couldn't afford (or didn't want to) live in Dangriga moved to. There is nothing here, but a beautiful beach.
Much of it is under developed, or spotted with shacks I wouldn't consider stepping into, let alone stay in. "Backpackers Hostel" or some derivative of the word, dot the area with shantys that look great from one side (if you consider a board and batten 8'x10' shed great looking) while the other sides ...
We tackled another coconut this morning before getting a boat back to the mainland at Dangriga. Here we stocked up on a few supplies at the supermarket before walking to the bus station and heading to Glovers on the Sittee River. We had heard it was a good place to stay and was the necessary base for getting the boat on Sunday out to Glovers Reef.

We forgot to write about a man named Carlos. He lives in the banana farms about 45 minutes away from Placencia. Recently a brother who speaks Spanish met him and started studying with him. Carlos only speaks Spanish and has only had two studies so far, yet he has made it to every Sunday meeting since then. That isn't the impressive part...
