... Exeter Underground Passages. They were started in the 1300s to supply water to the cathedral and, later, to the town. A system under the city that carried the lead, then the iron, water pipes. Not enough bookings so he missed out and we had to be content with the museum display and video. Next time.

Drove on to near Dorchester to camp on a farm. Our LAST night camping for 2014 - we survived it ...

The circle closes again- we left Janet and David and passed Stonehenge, where we had been on Feb 28th. Sunny day, much warmer than yesterday. Tried to look at Downton Abbey (Highclere Castle) but it was closed for the winter - pity. Stopped at Stourhead Gardens. The house was closed but the gardens ...

We got an email today with a lot of information about the first couple weeks in Nepal.

Arrival date: 25th November, we'll be met at the airport by both of our team leaders. They'll have a nice big sign and it sounds very fancy, we'll have the rest of this day to settle in. This is also the time when we will be given our first 'allowance' ...

... a good start! It's brewed locally too which is cool. I had a delicious starter of king prawns with butter garlic and herbs, then had a main of a veal sirloin. The veal is sourced from local farms, and was amazing! Don't think all my food will consist of such nice meals, but I thought I'd live it up while LIC were paying! ... pub where it was lit, warm, and provided good food. We had a lovely meal, together with wine, desserts and coffees it came to 90 for the 4 of us which we thought was reasonable. We stayed glued to our seats until about 10.15pm, when S & P left to go home about 5 miles away. Brian & I just crossed the car park in the rain, made up the bed by lamplight and got undressed in the dark…how romantic…sat and read our kindles ...
