Another beautiful day. After breakfast we got in the car and set off for Brockenhurst, our progress into the town centre was slowed by 3 donkeys walking in the middle of the road. ... what had happened, she in turn phoned Canterbury and they confirmed that said ****** dash cam had been purchased from them, we left the store clutching yet another gift receipt, hmmmmm what can I buy ;-). ... a tea and we shared a panini, in the Costa. £10.27! Back home that would have been about £7.65, quite a difference. I used my iPhone as a personal hotspot in the car, so I could check and send emails...I love the technology. We passed a power station which doesn't look like it's used any more...I hope not, it's a dirty looking thing! About 4pm we called in to see Pat. Had a good flight, good landing, fast through passport control, luggage arrived quickly, met with car by Emma's parents, got down to Southampton quickly in time for 9am ferry - it's Cowes week so ferries are very busy - told to wait until 11am! No joy in persuading otherwise. Oh the joy of living on on Island - western Kenya to Southampton no delays - Southampton to Isle of Wight....... Anyway eventually they must have taken pity on us and we got on 10am - thank you Red Funnel! Happy ...

... a lot of the carpentry work for the ALK exhibits at Hurst Castle. We chatted for a bit, then made our way to the ferry landing for Hurst Castle. We were excited to be able to see the castle and lighthouses on a bright, clear day. The last time we visited it was raining and windy.
