    The flight to Hawaii was rough and I didn't get much sleep at all but it was worth it. The weather was amazing and was still warm at night. The beaches were kind of small but the shore break was pretty rough and heavy. Pipeline although flat out the back, had a great shore break and was worth the drive.     ... tomorrow!!! As you can imagine my head was doing somersaults that I was actually going to the Grand Canyon!! We found a lovely little camp ground and next to us was a big group of young adults who were in the American Conservation Experience which is People that volunteer to help with research for the environment; water treatment, soil testing etc and in return get there camp gear and facilities for free! It was all very regimented and a little too intense for the volunteer work ...

    ... g. the pandas (mummy and baby, so cute); elephants; giraffes; camels; big cats and many more. The keepers even came to take a leopard and a wolf for a walk right in front of us to the behind the scenes area, was amazing! We took the skyfari and the bus tour around the zoo which were also good fun. It was dark by the time we got out so we got the bus back to the hostel and then had a chilled night not doing a lot.
