... The story goes that Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles were visiting Durham and having dinner in the Castle's Great Hall. The head chef had an appointment to catch, but unfortunately Charles was taking forever to finish his meal. The chef politely asked Prince Charles to hurry it up, which the Queen found so funny that she bestowed upon him a title (not a knighthood but close).

... Even in our simulation this is what happened. The more powerful countries eventually ended up excluding the smaller countries and the NGO's from our talks, as it was the only way we could take decisive action.

After a busy weekend of negotiation I had a fairly wild Saturday night and a well earned relaxed Sunday. This weekend I'm off to London with my dad! Many more adventures to come so stay tuned!!!

... wednesday I had a wee interaction with Irish culture, when my good friend Pippa and I went to see Irish standup comedian David O'Doherty at Durham's Gala Theater. David O'Doherty is famous for doing standup while playing the keyboard. He is a really talented comedian, performing a two hour set with no warm up act, and only a brief intermission.
