Great location, great staff although the elevator was a bit hard to find.

Our friend Fiona took a red eye flight from Vancouver to meet us, so we awoke around 8am local time to her knock. She looked exhausted, though, so we told her to nap until 11 and we would regroup then. I happily climbed back into bed and rested until about 10:30, which felt like a much more reasonable time to get up.

We boarded our flight in San Francisco at noon local time. We flew Air Canada, which was a good experience. The flight was less than 5 hours long, and the seats had TV screens in the back of them, with plenty of entertainment options. Turns out there was a huge fireworks show (coincidentally, at dinner, Emme asked if we were going to see fireworks and we said no). It was an amazing show! Followed that with some ice cream, watched some live music in the park, and ended with about a 45 min walk back to the hotel. Great night! Everyone is ...

... the never ending barrage of icebergs, did not crumble into the water. Some poutine for lunch and a museum visit kept us entertained for the afternoon before indulging in some serious chocolate dessert/dinner at Juliette et Chocolat. The smell in this place was actually quite asphyxiating but if you had to suffocate somewhere I'd pick a chocolate restaurant any day. Day two involved a trip to the biodome, a zoo of ...
