We boarded our flight in San Francisco at noon local time. We flew Air Canada, which was a good experience. The flight was less than 5 hours long, and the seats had TV screens in the back of them, with plenty of entertainment options. Our friend Fiona took a red eye flight from Vancouver to meet us, so we awoke around 8am local time to her knock. She looked exhausted, though, so we told her to nap until 11 and we would regroup then. I happily climbed back into bed and rested until about 10:30, which felt like a much more reasonable time to get up.

looking along the roof of the train as it snakes its way along the track.
However the line in this area is not very interesting at all and was simply
just lined with trees and the occasional few houses etc.
it was time for lunch and I made my way along the seven or so coaches to the

... York tomorrow morning, leaving at 9.30am, arriving about 2.30am on Sunday morning. Not really looking forward to that.
We have enjoyed Montreal, but the cold has restricted our sightseeing, which was to be expected. Terry is happy as he wanted to experience cold weather first hand, and see how ordinary people coped. When we got home about 5.30pm, it was -13 degrees, feels like - 18, and there is snow predicted for tomorrow.
... He really riled us up as we were planning to just speak to the guy, expecting him to explain what had happened and leave it at that. We did not expect him to give us attitude and talk to us like we were idiots and to have such a flippant attitude!
The guy was clearly not very clever and had no customer services skills. To me it was clear by his language and attitude that he knew he had messed up and mistakenly thrown out our food but he thought ...
