Sandpoint, Idaho, United States dixsan... Spokane, Washington, that I thought, "What if Washington and Idaho were to merge into a single state? Would they call is Washaho?" Hmm, sounds more like a charity event... I stopped for the night in Sandpoint, Idaho - a resort town on a lake here in the Rockies. I'm staying in a severely overpriced Best Western but the bed is comfy and the view is spectacular. Today's mileage: 808km
Sandpoint, Idaho, United States pharmo... had fireworks and would you believe, hundreds and hundreds of people turned out for my birthday party! It was so nice of them all to come! The 4th July fireworks was held on the beach and it was really quite nice. Not a New Years' eve on the harbour of course but given that it was a small town, one couldn't complain at all. They went on and on and the spirit was fabulous. At least Charlie got fireworks for her birthday!

Both Ken and Christy have joined the Pacin' Parson Yahoo Group, so you can ask them questions about Dr. Bird or about the paradise by Lake Pend Oreille that they call home. The Bonner County Daily Bee interviewed Don and Loretta during this visit and published an article on May 15: http://www.pacinparson.org/bee.html
Sandpoint, Idaho, United States donstevensonWe (Simon, Heather and myself) headed off just after lunch on Friday to head across the border as we were going to spend Saturday at the Silverwood Amusement Park near Sandpoint, Idaho. The trip started slow as myself and Simon had stayed up the night before having a few drinks with Sam who had just hit town and weren't in our peak state of mind. Once on the road we found another hindrance being that it was going to be a long weekend that weekend in Canada so ...
Sandpoint, Idaho, United States mja007I tell myself I'm really not asleep, but only a moment ago I was looking at the city of Spokane, and now the station outside looks different, there's a lake, lights reflecting on the water there, I check my map. The next stop Sandpoint, Idaho, we're there, I think. In Idaho. I don't wake Andrew. Just soak it up dear grandson, soak a little Idaho into your dreams.
Sandpoint, Idaho, United States burtonll... gunned down by rednecks on a dark lonely road, far from home. The brakes screeched again and I found myself trapped like a frightened rabbit in a blinding glare of headlights - with nowhere to run. A door creaked open and a female voice called out angrily, accusingly: 'What in hell do you think you're doing?' 'Uh... going to the campground' I blurted out. The voice mellowed: 'Do you need a ride?' it asked, the slurred words those of an older woman, perhaps one of voracious ...
Sandpoint, Idaho, United States fintanHi everyone!!! Well our first snowy weekend here we spent unpacking (getting things together around the house) and exploring the downtown walking area of Helena. This past week everyone at work was telling us how the next couple of weekends would be perfect to get out and see the aspens turning and go take a hike in the mountains. They stressed the next couple of weekends because before too long it'll be too cold and the trails will be ...
