... was nice. Finally we decided we wanted to be able to get up in the morning and walk on a Florida Beach. So we drove to Pensacola Florida. In the morning, after breakfast, we will check out and go to the beach. I can't wait to walk along the beach, holding hands with my husband tomorrow. It will be a relaxing morning. What a day. Just awesome!! Rained a little in the morning but we rolled with some indoor games and such. In the afternoon the weather broke and we hit the beach for a bit and stopped for some ice cream! The evening was filled with a great time of worship and Bible study! God is so good to bring ...
... at a restaurant along the main highway in Gulf Shores. I had shrimp with a side order of fried green tomatoes and enjoyed it very much.
The next day we transferred to another Holiday Inn Hotel in Foley, AL. By staying in 2 different Holiday Inn's we were able to accumulate 12,000 points. Applebee's had a hamburger plate special that we took advantage of. There wasn't much to do in Foley. We arose early to head back to Lufkin for the week. ...
We asked around for idea's of places we could go with the pooches. We got a unanimous - Pirates Cove!
Okay, that is where we shall go then.
But first...a stroll around the beach here at the KOA.
PC is a small cove with an old bar/"restaurant" on it. We were told we would get the best greasy burger we've ever had there. Challenge accepted!
The burgers are pretty good! (So was the drink)
... necessary', but what's done is done.)
2) If you are going to drive in this kind of weather, go a bit slower. (I'm a total hypocrite on this one.)
3) Running water is terrifying to drive through and you tend to drift a bit.
