... wrap around balcony so we have fantastic views from here. We left around 8.00pm and walked north along Las Vegas Boulevard. If you don't want to go out in the heat there are walkways between each building which is great. There were so many people out. The lights were amazing. The title is a direct quote from my BFF who looked outside our window and was immediately in awe.

I guess it's pretty weird to come from a place that is totally and entirely FLAT, almost under sea-level, even, and come to a part of the country where these beautiful, massive structures reach up to the sky and effortlessly create this perma-gorgeous skyline. So yes, look at the mountains we did.

Along the way we’ve stopped off at the Timberline lodge which was where the film 'the Shining’ was filmed (one of Scotty’s faves) we’ve been rowing (unsuccessfully) on an icy lake, seen forests which have been burnt and devastated after forest fires ignited by lightening (there is a real problem with forest fires here) ...
