... in the most random way. I ended up getting a box filled of stuff, kind of like a salad box, minus the salad. The place we were staying was nice, a bit out of the centre but it was a million times better than the place in New Orleans and there was a Doberman and cats which was nice & homey. Like New Orleans it's all about the nightlife so we just wandered round the neighbourhood, found a Mexican market to get some normal ...
So I'm off to see a friend of mine in Austin, Texas. I'm heading North to catch the main highway (10) and I start to see the landscape change. I drive through the Douglas Mountain Range and a few mountain passes and notice things are starting to get a little greener. I drive for several hours when I finally see signs of life - a sign that I am close to my destination.
So i arrived in Austin and the first impression I got was the redneck cab driver taking me from the airport to my hostel just repeatedly telling me how the Dallas Cowboys (American football team) suck, in a slightly retarded way, reinforcing all the stereotypical preconceptions I had in my head..
