... British Waterways to
Cruising Waterway Standard in 1983. This is the part which remains today. Eleven and three quarter miles with 15 double locks. It runs basically from south to north on the west side of Nottingham.

Getting to the top of the River Soar and moving onto the River Trent was quite breathtaking. So much water around.

This is our last night here in Leicester. Rich has been doing research with his colleague (met through years of ACC conferences) for the past 3 weeks and has found a temporary home. I know that this will not be the last time we come to LEI.
