We enjoyed our stay in Bristol, especially the games of snakes and ladders and Uno with Isobel. Susan and Robin met us at Barnstaple station and , after a bit of shopping in Lidl, took Lilli and the luggage back to Northfield Lane while I cycled back. It was lovely to sit in the sun for our afternoon tea and later on for dinner. The resident hedgehog put in his nightly appearance and walked past back home after devouring his supper of meal ...

Today we had a lovely drive around the area. We started off at Coombe Martin, this is a rugged coastline and the trees are bent over on the cliff tops, not very inviting beaches as a lot of pebbles or dark sand.
