After a busy day in port in Juneau, we were back at sea. We really love cruising. We eat, play lots of cards, try our luck at Bingo, gamble a bit in the casino, eat, watch the ice carving and fruit and vegetable carving demonstrations, eat and I think Nick manages to see every show offered. I, on the other hand, seldom stay awake long enough to go to any of the evening shows.

... is the Key Arena . . . a dated appearing venue . . . where the Seattle Sonics (basketball) used to play . . . before moving to Oklahoma . . . they call the area 'Seattle Center' . . . it also includes some other public items, like a museum, but the center piece is the Seattle Space Needle left over from the 1962 World's Fair. I took a photo of it being behind the Key Arena. We took the kids there many years ago on trip to Seattle!

... couldn't. Did get some catch up time today with friends back home, that was really great and helped with the rut I have been in today. Tami had to put down her cat today, was sick for a long while, starting getting better and then got really bad. Always hard to put down a pet, they are like family and I feel bad Tami had to go through that. At least she is not in pain anymore. Never easy to deal with or watch/hear someone have to deal with ...
