... away waiting for the boys. When they finally arrived, Chris and I ordered the BBQ chicken with unlimited rice, and two Halo Halo to share between us all. We had been meaning to try Mang Inasal's Halo Halo for a long time, and being our last night in the Philippines, it was a given. Although it was a little disappointing and not any better than the Halo Halo we had tried from the street vendors. Jing was keen to show us around his part of the city, and what better ...

This evening as I'm on my way to the airport I stop at a grocery store and am waiting to be served at the checkout when a prayer is suddenly being made to ‘Mary’ on the shops loudspeaker. ... as him and his people are looking after the reef. It sounds a bit dodgy, but I pay him and the receipts he gives me look genuine. Next, we head to a nearby island that you are not allowed to land on but we do anyway. I ask about this, confused cause they tell me if you land there you have to pay. But we land there, and we are not allowed to, and we don't pay. I shrug and figure there's a loss in translation somewhere. I snorkel off the small beach, but not the others ...

... they relieved us of our backpacks (storing them on the roof of the bus) and upstairs on the ferry we went for the 2 hour ride. When we got to Danao the bus was waiting for us to board. We thought we had bought the last 7 free seats on the bus, but we were slightly wrong. The bus had 7 rows of seats, each row configured of a double seat, an aisle and a single seat. There was a lady who was the "bus boss" who pointed to seats and told people ...
