you know when you are very very tired and you don't realize the dimensions of a huge event happening to you? well, throughout my trip, I was so tired and stressed that I was not really aware I was going to china. But after all the stress is gone. WOW... I have to say WOW.. I am finally in China!!! unfortunately I did not have enough time to see Beijin, just the 30 minutes that it took the shuttle driver to take us from one ...
Yinchuan, Ningxia, China e.velilla... Dan looked on the internet for information about these trees, and with the help of our co-worker Michael, found a travel agency in Yinchuan that booked tours out to the trees during October. Thus, we came to Yinchuan. We take a day for rest--Dan is still recovering from his dysentery--and do a little shopping. Yinchuan, Ningxia, China bethverde... do know Luo Wei and she has been beside me the entire time. Sheez, lets just forget it! I thought of all those people who go to Egypt each year (yes, I am jealous!) but here I was walking around this forgotten burial site in a forgotten part of China. Only a real historian can answer the questions that was buzzing around my head at the time. Who is luckier? Myself ...

Yinchuan, China eddakath... to bring your peachy babe and frollock and play! We decided to make Luo Wei a Skipper for the first time in her life and hire a boat to see as much of the park as possible. Yinchuan City, strangely it reminds me of Melbourne city. It is a very relaxed city so I must agree with the Lonely Planet on that fact. All streets offer plenty of room to walk, it is very modern ...

During the time of the Tang and Han Dynasties (206 BC - 907 AD) Ningxia was the main place for trade and transportation between the eastern and western regions of ancient China. Yinchuan, Ningxia, China eddakath... Gan bei!" ("Cheers!"). It is customary to skull the whole glass which I wasn't that keen on doing but it would have been very awkward and rude to refuse so I smiled gingerly, replied "Gan bei" with slightly less fervour and downed the beer. Not a good combo with pink ice cream but at least it wasn't the deadly chinese liquor you normally "Gan bei" with. Thankfully that seemed to satisfy him and he left. But it only got worse, with his friend the Chicken Man then ...
Yinchuan, China micsha_hk... on business or of the affluent leisure set will be happy to spend 400 yuan and up per night on a branded mid-market hotel, which is still considerably less than in the West. China's National Tourism Administration and adjunct agencies have heretofore been more concerned with revPAR (revenue per available room) growth than the ethics of forcing someone to either spend ridiculous sums of money for a bed or sleep in the streets. Yet ultimately the ...
