    ... to construct many temporary buildings out of shipping containers. The buildings are quite functional and heavily used. We stayed at a beautiful B and B near downtown. Pam and I can only imagine the hours of pubic debate and effort that still awaits the Council and staff. For dinner we tried a relatively new place that opened after the quake. We are off to Mount Cook in the morning and on to leg two of our adventure down under.
