    ... and then where local runners has set up various options there was no marking at all. Luckily at the great expense of 50 cents I had invested in a copy of a map section and here close to the town there were plenty of features. I still like the French system of daubing branches with paint where the path goes and also crosses where it does not go. This is not particularly neat but it is cheap and effective.     ... with about 20 vendors all selling local produce, meats and spices. We sampled all sorts of fruits, cheeses and olive oils before picking up some apples, capsicum and "Kiwi Spice" and heading home.
