    ... the Bartram Country Club and Mark showed us some of the local area sights including the gates of the beautiful Augusta National Golf Club and downtown Augusta, which is pretty cool.

    This trip was a bit of a blast from the past and confirmed we can no longer hang with the big dogs and function properly. Back to the comfortable role of grandparents as we head north to spend couple of days with our son Shawn and his beautiful family in New Bern, NC.

    Avett brothers headlined the first night and were off the hook! They played an upbeat set and exceeded my expectation (that were high anyway) in every regard.

    ... two months, up through TN, OH, IN and back down through NC, SC, GA. A geographic circle, but also oddly, looping through the life circle. A wedding in Augusta, GA before I set out, then meeting so many new babies (4 in total who were new to me at least), and now returning to Augusta a few days earlier than planned for this funeral of a childhood friend.
