... can change that person's day.....maybe even their life.

The only thing that trumps these feelings of gratitude is the excitement I have for the opportunity to do the same for others in the future.

I've been to quite a few National Parks, including Denali, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Glacier, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Arches. The objective throughout the trip is to avoid interstates, so we took the Loess Hills Scenic Byway north towards the Nebraska – South ...

... daily mileage is also exceeding expectations. The baseline was 600 mi/day, which we've beat both days. Couldn't resist a stop at the headquarters of the reality show "American Pickers" in Le Claire, IA. Picked up a couple souvenirs and took some pics.

We're staying in Adel, IA at a KOA campground, which we hope is as nice as last night's stay. The halfway mark of the trip will be hit tomorrow as we ...

Bob and I are preparing for our two month adventure in Spain. We are attempting to hike 10k every morning and have now added another 10k in the afternoon. Along with the hikes, we have added our backpacks. The question now we are asking each other often, "Why are we doing this?" It seems silly to work this hard in retirement. The Camino is referred to as 'The road of Reflection', so maybe we will figure this ...
