Salt Lake City nestled in the mountains is beautiful. From all angles you can view mountains with snow on the peaks. The city itself is nice, spring time so all the flowers are coming out. We spent some time walking through temple square, checking out the big churches. Mostly built in the 1800's they are quite grand. ... strong winds. As I step out it's like entering the biggest hairdryer ever, as the very strong winds are hot too: 100F! We wander around the actual flats a bit but quickly go back to the car as we are being sand/salt blasted.

... drive to Grand Tetons National Park was short, about 12 ks away. On the way we stopped to see all the Elk at the National Elk Refugee. The Tetons Mountains are a pretty impressive sight. Stopped in the park so we could walk on a frozen river. The ice was very thick, so no chance of getting wet.
