After dropping the kids off at the airport, we headed 2 more hours to West Wendover, NV, just over the border. This was a long flat drive across the Utah Salt Flats and the Bonneville Salt Flats.

Today is one of the high mileage days of our trip, driving from Brian Head UT to Salt Lake City UT, but first heading to the Bonneville Salt Flats. ... drive to Grand Tetons National Park was short, about 12 ks away. On the way we stopped to see all the Elk at the National Elk Refugee. The Tetons Mountains are a pretty impressive sight. Stopped in the park so we could walk on a frozen river. The ice was very thick, so no chance of getting wet.
