... 8211; not like anything we’ve tasted back home. Of course you can get any type of cuisine here you want – Italian, French, Indian and lots of Starbucks – it was a bit strange the other night when we went for Indian food and the Indian waiter could only speak Japanese!

We had a great 5 days in Matsuyama – we saw and did many things including walking to one of the temple on the pilgrimage hike. The weather continues to be awesome – 24-26 degrees each ...

... We then headed back to Dogo Onsen and decided to visit the oldest onsen in town: dogo honkan. Unfortunately, men and women are still separated but at least we took the option to meet in a common room where you can have tea and biscuits together. ... but we got a nice sunset view. Then it was time for dinner where we also met an English couple. There was also a film crew there who were very interested in us all and asked if they could interview us after dinner. The problem was, they barely spoke English! So back in Hojo for only a few days and our dear friend Yoko stops by for tea. Turns out she needs help on her farm, putting socks on the oranges so that the birds don't eat them. So we thought, "sounds like fun!"
