... a pot with broth. It was really yummy! Then after dinner there was a karaoke machine so everyone did some karaoke! But most of it was in Japanese and only 5 songs were in English. But it was still really funny and fun! Also today we learnt that our futon beds and hard rice pillows are actually luxury for us in Japanese standards. This is because in Japan it is the harder the better. Some pillows are made of straw or even ceramic. How horrible would that pillow be? Bye ~ ...

... castle burnt down a long time ago so it was rebuilt to look exactly the same as the original. But some parts where still original! It was really old! Then we walked up to the top of the castle and had to climb the steepest steps in the whole world! The view from up there was amazing! You could see all of Matsuyama! ... After that we went back to Cha Chan's house and one lady taught us how to make origami cranes. It was quite funny though because all of the Japanese people made their cranes in one minute flat and all of us Aussies took half and hour and needed their help to make one crane each!!! Then for dinner we had another huge feast of traditional Japanese New Years foods! 'Oishii ne' as the Japanese say! Bye ~ ...

So back in Hojo for only a few days and our dear friend Yoko stops by for tea. Turns out she needs help on her farm, putting socks on the oranges so that the birds don't eat them. So we thought, "sounds like fun!"
