... noodle cup-a-soup, we didn't really bother with the kitchen at our little place, and why would we, when the food is yummy, interesting and very cheap. We realise this means we'll be living on two minute noodles at some point, but we figure its silly to deprive ourselves here...France will be a baguette and cheese experience we thinks!
Our culinary adventures extended to trying a tea house, which again was recommended by our Kiwi friends. We should have known better, when we went ...

Thursday morning caught a shuttle bus from Cesky Krumlov to Linz which was 350KR. Kinda waste when I have my Eurail ticket, but train to Linz would take 5 hours with 3 changes and bus takes 90 minutes...
Walked around Linz for ...
... restuarant after as part of the tour.
Went to Na Louzi for lunch as I was told by Sarah at Krumlov House that the fried camembert and fruit dumplings were to die for. Camembert was delicious! got 2 whole blocks of it as well as lots of potato and salad so didn't need to order the fruit dumplings as well which were yumm with a blueberry filling.
Went to the castle which was OK, but smallish for a castle. Climbing the tower and ...
... the afternoon and a night there, but that’s all you really need. It’s a tiny medieval town with a castle and a river running through it, and being there is like stepping back in time. We ate a traditional Czech lunch, wandered the cobble-stone streets, the castle grounds and went up the Castle tower for some beautiful views.

... best enjoyed if you have a lot of money to spend and are with a crowd! The night was enjoyable, though, and as we made our way back on the bus our only thoughts were that no one would throw up on us! We made it back to our noisy campsite and settled in and were in bed by 11pm-guess we are a bit lame :) Today we managed to make our way out without any more screaming from the motorcycle man and are now in the Czech Republic-we will camp here for a couple of nights and head into Prague tomorrow.
Munich, Bavaria, Germany armajor7(61 miles) Today, we rode a little too hard and realized that we probably need to slow down a bit. Its kinda the tortoise and the hare bit. We mostly rode today not a whole lot of sight seeing. Chrissy hit some gravel today and fell of her bike skinning her knee. Also we saw a lady on a bike get hit by a car. I guess it's just one of those days? After our long day we showed up at the less expensive very welcoming canoe/camping place.
Blaibach, Bavaria, Germany randyandchrissy... mph. This really eats up the miles. The first part was the approach to Valhal *the* Valhalla (which was mythical) but this one was fashioned like a greek temple and positioned high over the hillside to commemorate germans (musical section is a bit sparce). Impressive in a rather fun pseudo way (its near Donaustauf). The route tended to follow the meanders so there was the opportunity to take inland shortcuts. Plus a diversion through a couple of villages for fun which was ok apart ...
waltendorf, bavaria, Germany i_could_walkWe picked Straubing because it is in a pretty part of Bavaria. Our hotel turned out to be at the back of a car hire place a fair way from town - need to pay more attention during the booking I guess. Anyway, the hotel wasn't too bad, though we had to drive into the town. Straubing itself is quite a nice medium ...
Straubing, Germany nlevac... of outward prejudiceness and blatant racism. And not only that, but some of the hypocrisy that goes along with that. Most of the native Germans that I have talked to are extremely prejudice against the Turks that live here, almost hateful. And they have no problem expressing their opinions. I have also seen a lot of skinheads and neo-nazis around town. I mean, that is not unheard of in the States, but it is not nearly as prevalant. And even some of the ...
Regensburg, Germany hannahb... a grocery store next to the hotel, and bought some milk and cereal. Castle - Eagles Nest - Salzburg The castle was cool, I dug the falconry show they had too. Eagles Nest was way up high, so I didn't enjoy getting up there, they take you on a mile bus ride that curves its way up to the elevator. But once there, it was nice, incredible view, and yes, the altitude was exactly known, thanks to me geeking out and bringing the GPS to tell us. Wendesday Daschau - Munich Since ...
