... town and took a short hike on one of the many trails to maintain our hiking skills. On 9/10 we hiked from Saas-Fee down to Saas-Grund on the Trail of the Chapels, a timeworn pilgrimage route. Strung along the path like beads on a rosary are 15 shrines with wooden statues depicting the life of Christ. Again, a beautiful sunny day with fantastic scenery. The Throne Room and paintings gallery were not included in our ticket, but we peered round a corner over a rope and saw the throne anyway! I’d taken pictures in various rooms, ...

Our next stop is Eismeer. We stop there for 5 minutes, we keep hoping for a shift in the clouds but not very lucky today. Apparently the weather forecast was only bad for just one day, today. A shame but the experience of being up here so far into the mountains and glaciers is one we could not have missed anyway.

Okay, so updating..........well, what a day, it's 6pm and we still have a bus ride to get back to Lauterbrunnen where we ...
