Today we decided to spend some talking walking the streets of Fussen, Germany. We rely heavily on Rick Steve's guides when we travel in Europe. One of the things we like best are his self-guided walking tours. As we drive to our next destination, we listen to his podcast along the way, and when we get to our there, we have a sense of the city or area we're about to explore! Educational, interesting, and a fun way to pass the time as we drive.

... Very crowded but very worth it!

We decided to take the bus back down to the village, and OMG, what a ride! We had a Czech driver that thought he was a Formula 1 race car driver! Ainsley and I dubbed it the Fussen rollercoaster!! What a ride!

We headed back to our campground at the super luxurious Camping Hopfensee (pool, sauna, spa, tennis courts, giant game complex, lake, boats, etc) for an evening of Uno and Yahtzee!

... paved. It only took us about 10 minutes. We were on the 1:25 p.m. tour (in English). Hohenschwangau was built by King Maximilian II in the early 1800s. He purchased castle ruins and had them transformed into a beautiful summer palace. The castle is filled with original furniture and secco (like fresco) paintings that have never been touched up but look brand-new. We walked downhill after the tour and decided to take a shuttle bus up to our next tour of Neuschwanstein. It's ...
