So we have tiny b & b with the most spectacular views. There is a place on the mountain by us that is the jumping off site for hang gliding , or maybe it's parasailing? Today is cooler then we are used to but still a nice day. We had coffee on the balcony which has a great view of the mountains. Just a row of houses away is a small field where cows were grazing. We caught the train back to Interlaken and back to our hotel. It dawned on us at some point in time that we needed to eat "fondue" sometime. Well, tonight was the night! The lady at the desk told us the best place for fondue and we set out to find it. 15 minutes later, we were seated ordering fondue. Fondue is old school back home. 1970's stuff. In fact, we got 2 fondue pots as wedding gifts in 1974!
... budget conscious people that we are, we decided to hike one of the ways. We chose to hike the way up because Vanessa's runners knee had kicked in and couldn't handle downhill hiking. Every person who heard that we planned to hike up to First gave a sort of laugh accompanied by a "are you crazy" sort of stare.
