    ... it would be too much stress and we would be back too late, especially as we had to pack. I also suggested Salzburg (too far) Innsbruck (too far) Melk Abbey (boring). In the end, I reluctantly planned a day trip to Kahlenberg, supposedly half an hour outside of Vienna by tram and bus.

    Truthfully, neither of us really wanted to go and would have much rather bummed around the hostel all day instead but felt that we should at least do something. ...

    ... office in Tulln where we learned that a sporting event was happening and many private zimmers and pensions were fully booked. They called several places for us and finally found a vacancy at Zum Schwartse Adler, the second most expensive place in town.     ... and of course Australia there are only 3 other KIWIs on board.
