    In the beginning there was... a blog. Welcome! I will endeavor to keep you all updated with my adventures, hopefully in a relatively entertaining manner. I'll do my best.

    ... still own the estate, have opened the grounds for the public to use, free of charge, as a picnic area and a place to turn the kids loose. The estate includes a sculpture garden with a surprisingly diverse collection of sculpture – some very recognizable and appealing, and others quite mystifying! It also has a “Garden of Surprises” which was essentially a number of water features ...

    Leaving Dover at 9am, we struggled through the English traffic to Milton Keynes, and Bletchley Park.

    A lot of work has gone into making this a worthwhile place to visit, and on the whole it works. The kids found the multimedia guides interesting, and there were enough interactive exhibits (even if some of them didn't entirely work) to keep them interested.

    Lunch, and off home!

    2 lovely days spending time with Blake, Avril and Brad and last but by no means least - Barney - the gorgeous cocker spaniel. Darts, pool, pints and enough Chinese food to feed the drive ! Left car and cases behind - just us and our rucksacks heading to Luton for our 6am flight to Berlin tomorrow ! ...

    Spent just under a week at home. Its been very strange. Obviously didn't expect to be coming home, wasn't exactly part of the plan but amazing how quick you get back into home life. And I love home life so I can't complain too much. Replenished my toiletries, watched the walking dead, got some dollars, and had a lot of lovely meals, kebab, pizza, sausages, ...
