... features. As we had only one day we had booked a guided tour and we were met by our guide Eric, a young guy with extensive knowledge of the history of America and Washington in particular. He proved to be very informative, though by the end of the day, we had both had enough of his manner which was rather "know all" and arrogant. ... head. I managed to catch a few of the cavemen exhibits, the faces have changed quite a bit but I'm sure I've seen some lookalikes around.
Wandered over to where there was a diamond that was apparently a billion years old called the Hope Diamond, there were people really drooling over it, I didn't see the big thing over it, probably woman loved it. There was so much more I saw but the pages would be going on and on.

... Museum and were pretty awed by the immensity of it. We saw the lunar lander, Spirit of St. Louis, the Apollo 11 Command Module, Apollo Lunar Module, Skylab Orbital Workshop, the Wright Brothers' 1903 Flyer, the Sopwith and Red Baron and the DC 3 that John used to travel by in college days. We even got to touch a moon rock.

... I can now appreciate those Helicopter pilots skill that have to land on the front lawn to pick up the big guy. They don't have a lot of maneuvering room. It was starting to get dark so we headed back to the metro. We stopped at at pasta place on the way back then got some supplies at the local shops, it open till midnight so it convenient. We plan a rest day tomorrow and I might Winterize the RV as from here on its gonna get ...
