... due to not being able to book in advance a
winter mooring and places become usually available in October, when I will be well and truly back at work.
Plan C was Sicily – still viable but too far south, and with the migrant problems and NATO etc, think it's best to leave alone for the moment.

Tuesday 23 June
We wanted to take advantage of the wind so left Motril fairly early in the morning. The
wind was quite strong – at times blowing F6 but at least on the bum. Got some pretty good sailing and surfing in at times as the swell picked up to around 1.5m.

On the way I saw 2 whales and we had a few dolphins play with the bow wave for a short
while.
Today we left the Costa del Sol and entered the Costa del Blanco – ...

... que era el mejor marisco que he comido en mi vida. Estaban dispuestos a escucharlo. Después de mi comida, fui a la playa para nadar. El agua es cristalina y cálida. Hermosos peces estaban nadando justo al lado de mí. Por desgracia, alguien robó mis gafas de sol. Después de nadar, tomé una siesta en la playa. Después me desperté, monté un barco para regresar a Alicante. El viaje fue muy duro. Esta noche voy a celebrar la última noche de festejos. ¡Estoy muy entusiasmado!

... earlier than planned and off we toddled to get spruced up. We had a lovely evening meal, mixed table of 8 tonight. They ranged from, retired, to artist and banker. All different backgrounds and was very interesting conversation. The couple at the side of us were from Lincoln, small world. My favourite bit of the conversation was when he was telling us what he remembered from the war. He lived in Scunthorpe and he was particularly upset ...
