    ... an ambulance with all lights flashing at the base station so not everyone gets down unscathed. Interestingly the park is open 24X7 and has lots of night time visitors despite the rocky road. At this time of year it makes sense as the temperature is a bit cooler at night and the viewing is focused on the fires.

    ... gotten wine, I said I was ready to head back down. I wasn't sweaty. I tried to really *feel* the epic history of the flames, as I try to do when in ancient places. You guys, I don't really feel it. I respect the idea of it though, so that's good, right? On the way down the hill, the owner talked about how he'd been to Maachu Picchu and got so sick he had to stay in Cusco for three days.     ... dark wood and high mildewed ceilings in the old part of town. My room was guarded by two mannequins dressed in traditional clothing. They didn't freak me out at all.     ... dark for 40 minutes we arrived at the site,were given torches and told to walk up the mountain for 20 minutes. Like doing the thousand steps without the well formed steps and in the dark. When we arrived the flames, although an interesting phenomenon were a bit like sitting around campfires. Still, glad we saw it.

    Received more sad news. Our beautiful pet pooch, Ziggy has passed away. The house won't be the same without her. ��

    ... and sat and watched, covered in dirt and I haven't even done anything. Safe to say other than tomorrow because I want to go to the pirate cove (a cove at the bottom of the dig site that everyone goes to after they finish work) I won't be back!
