Not on the Beach- Old Town Phuket

A travel blog entry by wine2nite on Sep 19, 2014

Another boat ride and a mini bus and we were in Phuket...all the photos you've seen of the area, we weren't there. We stayed in Phuket Town, which is a great area of Sino-Portuguese architecture dating back to the islands shipping days. Now, it is slowly being restored. Many "shop houses", which are common here...shops on the bottom, homes on the top floors. Very cute. We found the place we were going to stay had been remodeled and was costly, so we took our bags ...

... br> I walked out of that place and practically had a headache. I was now hungry and ended up settling for pizza. Yeah, I know.......lame! No need to inform me. It was pretty good though. My expectations were low and as a result I was overly pumped. I ordered a personal pan pizza that tasted exactly like Pizza Hut. We watch two young 10 year old kids compete. A guy asks Cody to fight. Cody says to let him think about it. The guy is going on about how he sucks at fighting and he's out of shape and he'll go easy. He's hustling Cody ***********'t like him. He has the kind of face I want to ...

In comparison to my Mom's massage, the
Thai body massage can be brutal and painful. It is definitely not
for everyone but of course, the results can be so relaxing too. With
the price of US$50.00 for two body massages, two foot massages, and a
pedicure, it sure was a happy ending!

Back on the ship, Bert and I got our
happy endings- a good night sleep!

Krabi, Thailand 10 days

A travel blog entry by karina_das on Feb 26, 2014

... for a night snorkelling and the beauty of it was that the water glows at night when you move! Phi Phi island was a disappointment. We went so far away to just walk for 40 min along the street. There was nothing special, Ao Nang was much better. Then they stopped at Bamboo Island for 40 min, Maya Bay where they filmed a movie with Leonardo Dicaprio - The Beach. They stop by the Viking Caves, where people look after bird nests (as food to eat, that is ...
