... airport, we used the motorbike Mike gave us to get to the airport but that meant getting up at 4.30am, leaving at 5am to get to the airport for 6.30am. I was so glad it wasn't me riding the bike because I was a nodding donkey the entire journey.

... were destroyed. It was very easy to see how a tsunami could do such damage. There are only a couple of hundred metres of land separating two different bays and apparently the tsunami from both bays met in the middle of the island creating mass flooding. Although the island is about same size as Koh Tao in terms of land mass, much of this is forestation and mountains that is inhabitable. ... again it was unbelievable how much we saw. We stayed under the full hour both times meaning we weren't panicking and using up our air too fast. We definitely came away feeling much more confident, and can't wait to do it again.
