We went into Ngee Ann City/Tagashimaya Shopping Centre and searched for something to bring to the waterfront for dinner since we would not be back until very late. We were off to see the NDP broadcast right across the water and gape at the National Day fireworks as they exploded above our heads.

Our next stop was Changi Chapel and Museum where we gained an interesting insight into the lives and memories of both POWs and civilian internees who survived the Japanese occupation. We toured the exhibits for touching stories about these POWs. ...
... it is easy to walk over the Dragon Bridge to find yourself at Marina Bay Sands. Having not been there before we were keen to have a quick look. Very opulent and huge. The building stretches up into the sky forever. We had a quick look at the designer shops with the manmade Venice inspired lake running through the centre complete with gondolier, and then left in search of lunch.
